WHAT IS DANCE COMPANY
For dancers who love performing and want “more than just a weekly class.”
Our teams and company are for dancers who want to make dancing and performing a priority. Dancers level up their technique, perform in exciting shows, and build friendships that often last a lifetime. They also learn commitment, responsibility, and teamwork that helps them in school, work, and “all of life’s performances.”
A Quick Note Before Joining!
Teammates count on each other, so please make sure the schedule works and you can attend all required rehearsal & performances. If a dancer misses too many rehearsals, they may need to step out and try again next year.
WE HAVE MANY DIFFERENT WAYS to PERFORM MORE!
1. In-Studio Ballet Performaces “a few month” commitment
In-Nutcracker In-Studio Fall/Winter Season
Fairy Garden Ballet In-Studio Spring Season
– Ages 3 yrs through 10yrs (age by Sep of school year)
– “A few month commitment” (fall: Aug 17- Dec 2 / spring: Jan 24- May 23 ) Not a full school year commitment!
– Perform in our magical In-Studio Nutcracker on Dec. 6th ’26 or Fairy Garden on May 23 ’27
– A short, magical in‑studio ballet for dancers who want to dance alongside our Sugar Plum Fairy this winter and/or our Fairy Garden Queen this Spring!
– A 20 min special performance without a year‑long commitment.
– Auditions are not neceassry, enrollment is open through summer, with last spots avail through Sep 5 fo Nutcracker and Jan 24th for Fairy Garden
2. Disneyland Parade “a few month” commitment
Come join us as we participate in a parade performance down Main Street in Disneylane Open to dancers 7yrs (by parade date)- 12yrs of age that are currenlty training in 1 class weekly!
Register by Aug 19 for fall parade and/or Jan 6 for spring parade
Fall Parade “Holly Jolly Jubilee” will take place on Nov 21 2026
Spring Parade “Spring Spectacular” will take place on Apr 11 2027

3. Ballet Company – full school year commitment
– Ages 4 yrs through Teen (age by Sep of school year)
– Requires a School Year commitment -Ballet performance on March 7th 2027
– Registration opens in once in Spring for following school year
– Ballet Focused
– For dancers who love classical ballet and want to perform a full story ballet on stage as part of a dedicated ballet company.
– Auditions are not neceassry, enrollment is open through summer, with last spots avail through Sep 5
– Auditions for select roles for Pointe III/IV will be held from 2:45-4:15pm on May 30th
4. Jazz or Hip Hop Performance Team – full school year commitment
– Ages 4 yrs through 10yrs (age by Sep of school year)
– Performance Focused ages 4 yrs & up Jazz – 5yrs up Hip Hop
– Requires a School Year commitment
– For energetic dancers who love jazz or hip hop, want to perform more often, and be part of a fun, positive team.
– Auditions are not neceassry, enrollment is open through summer, with last spots avail through Sep 5
5. Competition-Focus Jazz or Hip Hop Team – full school year commitment
– Ages 7 yrs through Teen (age by Sep of school year)
– For committed dancers ready for extra rehearsals, multiple competitions, and a more serious training path.
– Private Auditions are required

BALLET PERFORMANCE PROJECTS
Fall: Nutcracker In-Studio

A short, magical in-studio ballet for dancers who want a special performance without a year- long commitment.
Ages 3yrs though 10 yrs
Performances:
– Nutcracker- Dec. 6th 2026 in-studio and zoom & Fairy Garden Ballet- Dec. 6th 2026 in-studio and zoom
– Includes a 20 minute classical ballet, costume & tights included
– For dancers currently enrolled in a weekly Ballet/Tap/Jazz, or Ballet/Jazz or Ballet II II+
Disneyland Parade

School year commitment. For dancers who love ballet and want to perform a full story ballet on stage with dancers of all ages! Last spots avail through Sep 5th
Ages 4yrs through Teen
Performances:
– Optional Theater performance of Nutcracker if able to commit to additional rehearsals
Hermosa Playhouse 4pm Dec 12th 2026
– Ballet Company Show 12:00pm Sun March 7, 2027
– SDM Recital Jun 4, 5, & 6
Class requirements
– Ballet/Jazz/Tap dancers: 1 class + rehearsal weekly
– Ballet/Jazz Lev I/II II II+ or III dancers: 1 class + rehearsal weekly
– Ballet III/IV dancers: 2 classes weekly + rehearsal weekly
– Pointe: 3 Pointe Classes weekly + rehearsals
Weekly Rehearsal class listed on schedule
30 min private lessons may be used to makeup a weekly class requirement (45 for pointe)
JAZZ or HIP HOP PERFORMANCE TEAMS
School year commitment. Enroll in Spring for the following school year. Last spots avail through Sep 5th
For dancers who love jazz or hip hop and want to perform more often with a team!
Ages 4yrs through 10yrs
Performances:
– Universal City Walk Performance (Feb)
– Company Show 3:45pm Sun March 7, 2027
– 1 Regional Competition early May (for most groups)
– SDM Recital Jun 4, 5, & 6
Class requirements
– Jazz Team: 1 Ballet/Jazz/Tap or 1 Ballet/Jazz class weekly + rehearsal weekly
– Hip Hop Team: 1 hip hop class weekly+ rehearsal weekly
Weekly Rehearsal class listed on schedule
30 min private lessons may be used to makeup for class requirements
COMPETITION JAZZ & HIP HOP TEAMS
School year commitment. Enroll in Spring for the following school year. Last spots avail through Sep 5
Advanced training & Multiple Competitions
Auditions May 30, 2026 for the following school year.
For dancers ready to take their training to the next level with more rehearsals & multiple competitions.
Ages 7yrs through Teen
-Private Auditions Necessary
Performances:
-Company Show Sun March 7, 2027
– 4 Regional Competitions March through May including Memorial Day
– SDM Recital Jun 4, 5, & 6
Class requirements Jazz Team
– 2 Ballet & 2 Jazz weekly creates a good foundation and a steady growth whether a dancer is on team or not. Some younger groups listed below have lower requirements due to age and level, however depending on which group is casted after auditions, your dancer’s requirement may be 2 Ballet & 2 Jazz weekly.
– For Jazz Lev II II+: 2 Ballet/Jazz weekly + rehearsal weekly (Pearl group includes tech)
– For II+III levels dancers would take 1 Ballet II+ III & 1 Jazz II+ III+ rehearsal weekly (Pearl group includes tech)
– For Jazz Lev III & IV : 1 Ballet class + 1 Jazz class + 1 class of choice Ballet or Jazz + rehearsal weekly
– For Jazz Lev Accelerated thru Elite: 2 Ballet classes + 2 Jazz classes weekly + rehearsal weekly
Requirements per group:
Pearl:
2 technique class per week (1 Ballet II+ III 1 Jazz II+ III) or 2 Ballet/Jazz II II+
All other groups:
2 Ballet & 2 Jazz classes per week is the best foundation however second year competition groups may have 3 technique class per week (at least 1 Ballet)
PreElite & above:
2 Jazz & 2 Ballet per week
Class requirements Hip Hop Team
– For Accelerated Level : 1 Accel Hip Hop class + 1 Ballet OR Jazz weekly + 1 rehearsal weekly
30 min private lessons may be used for class requirements
